Itinerary

Day 1 and 2 Depart for Australia
Fly over the international date line on your way to Australia.

Day 3 Sydney
Arrive in Sydney and check into the Travelodge Hotel Sydney after 2.00pm, the rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore. Tonight meet your fellow travellers and get to know them better as we enjoy dinner and a night out in Sydney. Hotel (D)

Day 4 and 5 Sydney
Enjoy a hop-on hop-off guided sightseeing tour of Sydney's famous landmarks, then board a Sydney Harbour Cruise that that stops at many of the famous harbour attractions. Over the two full days in Sydney, there's an abundance of things to do - why not check out the historic Rocks District, the site of Australia's first settlement, see koalas and kangaroos at the Taronga Zoo, enjoy a Harbour Bridge Climb, take a guided bicycle tour, get dizzy with a Harbour jet boat, or even get out of town on a day trip to the famous Hunter Valley vineyards or picturesque Blue Mountains. Alternatively, shop until you drop at Sydney's varied markets and fashion shops, explore the great museums or discover the nightlife. It's your choice! Hotel

Day 6 Sydney to Whitsundays
There'll be more free time this morning for any last minute shopping or activities. Then you'll be transferred to Sydney domestic airport to take a flight to the fabulous Whitsundays. Tonight relax on Long island, enjoying the warm and picturesque setting. Resort (B,D)

Day 7 an 8 Whitsundays
Time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and great amenities of Long Island. Feeling energetic, why not go bushwalking, play tennis or beach volleyball, take to the water with a snorkel or a jet ski? Want to relax? Then unwind on the palm-lined beach, have a massage, or sip cocktails on the verandah as you watch another perfect sunset. Resort

Day 9 Whitsundays to Cairns
It's north to Townsville to explore the scenic lookout of Castle Hill, overlooking Magnetic Island. This evening we'll check into our Cairns hotel, situated in a lush tropical setting. Resort (B)

Day 10 and 11 Cairns
For the adventurous a chance to do some white water rafting on the rapids of the Tully River, or take the opportunity to visit the famous Outer Barrier Reef aboard a high-speed catamaran. Why not scuba dive amidst amazingly colourful tropical fish? Or if you prefer, maybe spend the days at leisure doing some shopping in town. In the evening we'll check out more tropical wildlife at one of Cairns' nightclubs! Resort (B)

Day 12 Cairns
Our morning is spent with a visit to Tjapukai to watch traditional aboriginal dancers and learn how to throw a boomerang. Then spend the rest of the day at leisure in Cairns. Hotel

Day 13 Cairns
Say a final farewell to your new friends as your trip ends this morning.

Outer Barrier Reef Cruise (A$185)
Cruise to the Great Barrier Reef aboard an air conditioned, high speed catamaran. On the journey to the Reef, enjoy complimentary tea and coffee while being shown the art of snorkelling and watching educational reef videos. Once on the Reef, take a tour in a glass-bottomed boat and semi-submersible, but the very best way to experience the Reef is to get amongst it by swimming and snorkelling.
