Departure Times:
Departure times for the start of your tour depend on the city you are starting from while departure times on tour vary day to day.

From Los Angeles
Tours departing Los Angeles should meet at the Kyoto Grand Hotel at Los Angeles between 6:30 and 7am the morning of departure for a 7:45am departure at the very latest.

You should however try and attend the pre departure meeting at the Kyoto Grand Hotel the evening before departure.

Other Cities
If you tour starts another city (New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Chicago for example) usually meet up at 7am on the morning of departure. Exact information will be made available in your travel documents closer to the time of departure and the day sheet information will be posted on the hotel notice board.

While on tour
Departure times while on tour will vary depending on your itinerary for the day. When planning departures, Tour Managers and Drivers must take into account not only the itinerary for the day, but also strict United States Department of Transport driving regulations and laws restricting the time your Driver can spend behind the wheel as well as many other factors.

Every day therefore is different depending on the city you are in and the specific travel itinerary for that day. Generally speaking, most tours depart at roughly 8am most mornings while on tour.

Arrival Times:

As much as you probably won’t want it to, the tour has got to end some time.

Weather, traffic and other external factors out of our control may effect arrival times, therefore these times should be used as a general guide.

Finishing at the Kyoto Grand Hotel, Los Angeles
Tours finishing in Los Angeles should arrive at the Kyoto Grand Hotel at approximately 5.00pm.

It is also possible to finish your tour at one of the last cities of your tour (eg San Francisco or Las Vegas).

Finishing in other cities
Arrival times are usually mid afternoon on most legs of tours through North America.

As a general rule you should not book flights out before 8pm on the last evening of your tour.

Should you wish to finish your tour before your last scheduled city you should notify your Tour Manager and fill out the appropriate paperwork once on tour.

While on Tour
Arrival times while on tour will vary depending on your itinerary for the day but most tours arrive in the mid afternoon in their destination cities.

Every day though is very different as the organized itinerary for each day is varied. Occasionally to make the most of your time you may have an early afternoon of sightseeing before arriving at your accommodation but this will vary from tour to tour.
