Packing tips for your singles vacation

Booked Your Singles Cruise and Not Sure What to Pack?
No Worries!

It is never too early to start planning and packing for your singles cruise. Half the fun of your vacation is dreaming about the days to come, so why not get organized at the same time. Do not wait till the last minute, rushing around is the quickest and easiest way to forget things,

Gather all your vacation documents in one location (print them out as you get them). These should include; airline e-tickets, cruise documents, passport and visas (if applicable), personal identification documents, medical and travel insurance and a list of your prescription drugs (just in case).

Pack only one one medium sized suitcase and one carry-on bag. There is little storage space in a cruise cabin and you don’t want to be stepping over luggage while trying to get dressed. Pack a beach bag for the pool and to carry any items you will need or purchase while onshore.

Most suitcases can take a while to be delivered to your ship's cabin, so pack a bathing suit and dinner attire in your carry-on bag so you can enjoy all the onboard activities right away and not have to wait for your luggage. Always carry your important medications and toiletries in your carry-on.

Whether onboard the ship or at a port of call, daytime is for casual clothing, so pack accordingly. With limited space in your cabin pack clothes that work in layers and in the same color combinations; like black, white and gray, or white, khaki and tan. Keep your accessories such as earrings, necklaces, shoes, and bags in the same colors and your outfits will be easy to mix and match.

Evening wear varies from casual resort one night to formal another and men are not permitted to wear shorts, baseball caps and tank tops in the dining room. Most cruise lines allow you to wear jeans in the dining room on casual nights, but not on formal nights. There are usually one or two formal nights during a singles cruise and some singles enjoy getting dressed up while others are more casual, the choice is yours.

Celebrity Cruises Dress Code

All cruises that are 7 nights or longer will feature two Evening Chic nights. Any cruise 6-nights or shorter will feature one Evening Chic night. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot.  While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire. Evening Chic means that you can get glamorous and be sophisticated in your own way. If you would like to still wear a tuxedo or formal gown on Evening Chic nights, you absolutely should. Guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances.

Women should feel comfortable wearing: A cocktail dress, skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top

Men should feel comfortable wearing: Pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater - Optional sport coat or blazer

Smart Casual attire can be enjoyed every other night of your cruise.

Women should feel comfortable wearing: Skirt, pants or jeans with a casual top

Men should feel comfortable wearing: Pants or jeans with a short sleeve sport shirt.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants.
