Puerto Rico Just For The Fun Singles Vacation Itinerary
Your Singles week of island enchantment begins when you arrive in Puerto Rico and take a shuttle to white sand beaches, shopping, dining and attractions of Isla Verde. Our group's hotel is the Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino, an all suites hotel in Puerto Rico conveniently located in the heart of Isla Verde’s Tourist Sector.
Spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach or trying your luck in the casino. We will gather as a group for a welcome reception at the hotel.
We will take a power catamaran – the “Island Flyer" trip to world famous Flamenco Beach. Our all day outing includes snorkeling, open bar and lunch. Located about nineteen miles east of Puerto Rico and eight miles north of Vieques, Culebra is the smallest of the inhabited Spanish Virgin Islands, only seven miles long and 3 miles wide. With 1400 acres of land, it is well known as a nesting area for numerous seabirds, as well as the endangered leather back turtle. Giant mangroves and soft corals abound in the shallows and magnificent reefs encircle the island. Tropical fish and other sea life abound and the depths rarely exceed one hundred feet..
Our premium adventure begins when we depart from Puerto Del Rey Marina aboard the Island Flyer, a turbo speed Catamaran. In only 45 minutes, we will arrive at the magnificent Coral Reef of the nearby Culebra and Culebrita Island. Get ready for some real snorkeling while our certified instructors guide you to an unforgettable experience. After almost 2 hours of snorkeling we will depart to Flamenco Beach. The third most spectacular beach in the world. There you will enjoy an on board Lunch Buffet of fresh fruits, fresh-baked breads, sliced deli meats, cheeses, tuna salad, gourmet pasta salad, coleslaw, chips and other salads are also included. After lunch you can relax on the white sands or swim in the crystal clear water and enjoy full open bar, snacks, Piña Coladas, Rum Punch and more.
Vacation Day 3: Old San Juan Food and Culture Tour
After a leisurely breakfast we will stroll through Old San Juan’s most historic section, visiting five off the beat “do not miss” spots ranging from a “mom and pop” coffeehouse to a former 16th century jailhouse turned restaurant. It's a touch of the old and the new along the narrow cobblestone streets as we are entertained by our guide We’ll discover the places you love and have the knowledge (and savings guide) to return to them and make the most of Old San Juan. On this tour we’ll visit five spots with a mix of sit down and “on the go” tastings, so we can share as many foods as possible in the short time we’re here. We will taste on average 1-4 tastings per stop and the idea is to be pleasantly full at the end, but please note this is not a buffet and the idea is not to be stuffed at the end, but to feel satisfied and able to navigate through the unique cuisine and culture of Old San Juan and Puerto Rico.
In between bites of mofongo and mallorca, we’ll stroll through the most historic and architecturally rich city in all of Puerto Rico. Experience it like you’ve never seen it: with a local interactive guide that gets us behind the scenes and shares with you the “Fortress City’s”
personality, rich history and interesting local tales. We will leave with a wider understanding of Old San Juan’s varied architectural gems and unique restaurants, cultural attractions and “must do” activities.
Put your dancing shoes on - Tonight is Latin Dance night with an instructor.
Vacation Day 4: El Yunque Rainforest
Eat a hardy breakfast, today we get an up-close tour of El Yunque, meaning "Forest of Clouds". Discover an amazing world of nature trails, waterfalls, scenic views and the sub-tropical rain-forest habitat of Puerto Rico's endangered wildlife. We depart for the Caribbean National Rain Forest, El Yunque, the only tropical forest in the United States National Forest System. Its rugged land climbs from almost sea level to about 3,500 feet above sea level and is doused with up to 200 inches of rain every year. Nowhere in the world will your eyes observe a greater wealth of beauty than what is waiting for us in the rain forest. According to ancient Indian legend, the good spirit "Yuquiyu" reigned on his mighty mountain top throne, protecting Puerto Rico and its people. Many of the sights you will see today are the same as those that dazzled the first Spanish Explorers more than 500 years ago. Included is a small trail visit as well as several stops to El Portal del Yunque Visitor’s Center, La Coca Fall, and a visit to the Yokahu Tower.
There are many ways to see the rain-forest but walking is the best way to experience this amazing place! So put on your walking shoes and be prepared for a guided walk through the rain-forest. Then cool off with a relaxing swim or dip in La Mina Falls. We'll see 1,000 year-old trees, strange plants with exotic rainbow colored flowers, and thick vines with great masses of lush red blossoms waving in the cool breeze. From the heart of this breathtaking beauty hear the incessant, yet delightful two-note chanting of the "Coqui," the chattering of unseen tropical birds, and if we’re lucky, the squawk of the endangered Puerto Rican Parrot.
Included is a small trail visit as well as several stops to El Portal del Yunque Visitor’s Center, La Coca Fall, and a visit to the Yokahu Tower. ** Please note this day trip requires the traveler to be able to walk 3 miles on uneven surfaces.
Optional Bioluminescence Evening Adventure: ($100.00 - about 3 hours) Don’t let your day end when the sun goes down! We offering a relaxing kayak tours at sunset that lead to the fascinating lagoon at Las Cabezas de San Juan Reserve.
