Sleep under the stars in a bush camp, take a hot air balloon ride that will leave you in awe, then grab a cold beer with all your friends at one of the oldest Territory pubs. Gorgeous gorges and national parks leave you breathless as Aboriginal art abounds while you get to know the backyard of Australia. Darwin offers the draw of the big city with shopping and nightlife not to be missed. Why stop there? Take your new found love of 'Down Under' and set out exploring the rest of this island continent with a Beaches and Reefs or Rainforest Adventure.

Vacation Itinerary

Vacation Day 1 - Alice Springs
Meet your vacation crew and start your tour with visits to Alice Springs Desert Park to see unique Outback animals, then its on to Simpson's Gap for a group photo. Later we see ANZAC Hill and the Old Telegraph Station. Tonight you'll be get to know your fellow travellers. Hotel (D)

Vacation Day 2 -  Alice Springs to Kings Creek Station
Cross the Finke River, the oldest river in the world, to Kings Creek Station to experience a working camel station. Tonight, sleep under the stars in true outback style. Outback bush camp (B,D)

Vacation Day 3 - Kings Creek Station to Uluru
Up early to take in the stunning sights as we wander along the ridge of Kings Canyon and discover the Garden of Eden and the Lost City.Then we'll drive past amazing Mt Connor, to reach the modern Yulara Resort, our accommodation for the next two nights. Watch the sun set and rise over Uluru and explore this world-famous monolith. Lodge (B)

Vacation Day 4 - Uluru
Up early to see the mixed colours of Uluru's sunrise. The adventurous will have time to walk around or climb the famous Rock. Later we visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Lodge (B)

Vacation Day 5 - Uluru to Alice Springs
Today we visit a traditional roadhouse on our way to Alice Springs. Maybe join us for dinner tonight to try outback delicacies like crocodile and emu. Hotel (B)

Vacation Day 6 - Alice Springs to Tennant Creek
Why not take the opportunity of a lifetime and see the dawn break over the MacDonnell Ranges from a hot air balloon, and upon returning to terra firma feast on chicken and champagne? We'll cross the Tropic of Capricorn on our way to the Devils Marbles. Then north to Tennant Creek which is the site of the last gold rush in Australia. Hotel (D)

Vacation Day 7 - Tenant Creek to Katherine
Heading north, we stop by Renner Springs, which serves as a border between the lush tropics of the north and the red desert of Australia’s centre.Next up: the oldest pub in the Northern Territory, Daly Waters, licensed since 1893. Check out the knick-knacks and memorabilia that cover the walls of this Australian institution. Grab a bite to eat here and maybe meet a local character or two. Hotel.(B)

Vacation Day 8 -  Katherine toKakadu National Park to Darwin
Kick start the day with our optional cruise through the gorgeous Nitmiluk Gorge. This National Park serves up vivid orange cliffs and rock formations that have been carved out by the river over hundreds’ of years. Keep an eye open for fresh water crocs and learn about local wildlife and folklore from our Local Guide. Hotel (B) (D)

Vacation Day 9 - Kakadu National Park
Rise early and you have the chance to see the wonders of Kakadu from the air. This scenic flight will leave you breathless and it's not the altitude. You really will understand why this is a world heritage region. Then on to Nourlangie Rock, famous for its Aboriginal art. View the wetlands and spend the afternoon on a wildlife cruise. Hotel (B)

Vacation Day 10 - Kakadu National Park to Darwin
Today, we head to Darwin. After free time for lunch, we hit the Darwin Museum and find out about the unlucky past of the Northern Territory’s capital. Hotel (B)

Vacation Day 11 - Darwin
On the way to stunning Litchfield National Park, we stop by the termite mounds, a local natural curiosity. These mounds are up to 4 metres high and are literally magnetic – your Tour Manager will fill you in on the details.Then we hit the famous falls that make up the park – 4 waterfalls pour over a wide plateau into deep, picture-perfect waterholes surrounded by thick rainforest. Experience this natural playground and take a dip in the transparent waters.(B)
