Our first stop will be the Fortress of Masada, built by King Herod in 31 BCE and now considered a dead sea floatWorld Heritage Site. We will take the cable car to the top of Masada and walk through its magnificent ruins, the last stronghold of Jewish warriors and their families during the great Roman rebellion. Later, it became an important Ottoman city and many elegant buildings and monuments were erected.
Our tour begins with a visit to the underground Crusaders Knights Hall, walk through narrow passes and alleys, and we arrive at the old port of Akko. During the British mandate, Jewish prisoners of the underground movement were imprisoned in the Akko prison and a daring escape  took place, which Paul Newman portrayed in the movie Exodus.
