Singles & Friends - 8 Day Italian Cooking Class Vacations in Tuscany, Italy
Tuscany is world famous for food and its rich culture. Simplicity is key to Tuscan cuisine, with just a few
ingredients our chefs in Tuscany create exceptional mouth watering dishes to enjoy whilst looking out over breath
taking landscapes. The cooking vacations are offered at two seperate locations in Tuscany.
Villa Maria

Villa Maria is located on its own private estate in the
countryside outside of the city of Florence. Florence is known for its importance in the Middle Ages and in the
Renaissance, especially in art and architecture. Florence is often considered the birthplace of the Italian
Renaissance; in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages. The historic centre of Florence was
declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982 and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the
world[.
Once in the hands of the Napoleonic dynasty and handed down through generations of noble Tuscan families this
classic country home is the perfect place to cook up a storm! Used exclusively by Flavours the villa comes complete
with a private pool and its own ancient olive grove with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. A classic
example of 16th century Tuscan architecture the vaulted brick ceilings and stone walls make you feel very much part
of the history of this special place, however the recent restoration has ensured that 21st century luxury is never
far
away! The poolside terrace is the perfect spot to linger with an aperitvo under the Tuscan sun!

The villa is tucked away in the countryside on its own private estate close to the medieval town of San
Miniato, which is well known for truffles and other Tuscan delicacies. A short distance from the villa lies the
Renaissance gem of
Florence. Get lost in the tangle of ancient streets taking in the facades of it’s art studded churches and
museums as you find them.
Villa Toscana

Our second location is at Villa Toscana which is based in the
hills overlooking the city of Lucca. Lucca itself is charming - the city never really feels touristy, enclosed by
its own walls which have now been turned into an elegant 12 m high garden, perfect for a pas seggiata. Almost
completely closed off to traffic, the city centre has a cosmopolitan air - the cobbled streets are ideal to stroll
around and window shop.
Villa Toscana is situated in a breath taking setting in the hills above Lucca This classic Tuscan villa retains
the rustic charm so typical of the region while offering modern luxury. Villa Toscana is used exclusively by
Flavours and comes complete with its own private swimming pool. From the terrace - the perfect spot to linger with
an aperitivo - guests can enjoy sweeping views across the valley, dotted with ancient bell towers and olive
groves.
