The museum offers a comprehensive music experience from the rural field hollers and sharecroppers of the 1930s, through the explosion of Sun, Stax and Hi Records and Memphis’ musical heyday in the 70s. We’ll rock with the likes of Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding, Johnny Cash, Sam & Dave, Al Green and others. The museum’s digital audio tour guide is packed with over 300 minutes of information, including over 100 songs, and you can visit at your own pace.

If you have time left there is so much of Memphis to explore (on your own).  Here are a few options: Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum ($12), will draw you back to pre-Civil War era. Ndutu area grows healthier Wildebeest calvegrasses which, gives energy to the mothers and little calves for quick recovery after birth, Ndutu is well known as a calving center for Wildebeests and the best time to visit is between January thru March. Vacation Day 9: Phuket - Elephant Trekking & Bathing
elephant bathElephants are a national symbol in Thailand and their importance as working animals and in warfare is part of the country's history. However, since logging was banned in 1989 the only demand for these domesticated elephants has been in the tourism industry. Today there are a couple of hundred elephants living on Phuket working in tourism. Although it would be much better if elephants were able to roam wild this is simply not possible in modern Thailand. It costs approximately US$500 per month to feed and care for an elephant in captivity. Elephant trekking is a memorable experience and helps keep these animals employed, fed and out of the cities.
Elephant rideOn our elephant trekking and bathing tour, we will get the chance to get even closer to the elephants and we all can give them a good ol'back rub with brushes and water. We get to spend time playing in the water together with them. You can see the elephants splash everybody with water spurting out from their trunks whilst also letting people climb aboard their backs.
Tonight enjoy our final meal together at our Farewell Thai Dinner.

Vacation Day 10 - Phuket - Departure
After our final breakfast together our Thailand adventure ends with our transfer to the airport. It is time to say goodbye to all your new single travel friends as we depart for home.
