The Ionian Islands are an emerald scattering of seven main islands –, Ithaca, Corfu, Kefalonia, Lefkada, Paxos and Kythira – found off the west coast of mainland Greece. The region is famed for pristine beaches, the unforgettable blue of the sea, and the lush Mediterranean landscape. Several lesser-known smaller islands make up this paradise cluster.
M/S HERA – our beautiful motorised ocean vessel that can accommodate up to 25 passengers with 9 cabins – operates the Ionian Cruise. We will spend a week at sea, exploring the very best of this island cluster paradise, stopping in Sivota, Parga, Antipaxos, Gaios and Lakka in a round trip from Corfu. Our Ionian Cruise operates with multiple boats, ie Harmonia, Aphrodite, Eros based on departure dates and seasonality.
This trip is best suited for those who want to set sail for discovery, heritage and historical sightseeing, the best of nature and deserted beaches, on-deck sea-view unwinding and the friendly atmosphere of a small ship cruise.

CorFu sailing vacation itinerary
The UNESCO World Heritage town of Kerkyra (Corfu Old Town) is full of cultural heritage from its days under Venetian, French and British rule. From architecture to traditions, towering fortresses to the narrow medieval streets, you can feel the multi-layers of Corfu island history. If you have time to see more of the island, don’t miss the chance to explore the fishing village of Agni Bay, the dramatic cliff drops of Cape Drastis, the picturesque channel of the Canal d’Amour and the tucked-away community of Palaiokastritsa. In the evening, we get acquainted with our sailing home for the next few days and get settled in, starting by dining with a view of the ocean as we set sail towards Kassiopi.
Note: On the rare occasion of any issues that may result from late arrivals, there is a possibility that we do not depart Corfu on Monday evening, and instead set sail on Tuesday morning.
Vacation Day 2: Sivota - Mourtos
The rainfall on the Ionian Islands is what enables its lush and verdant landscapes to flourish. Think of thick forests, natural coves, green hills with olive groves, and ardent valleys that sit back-to-back with crystal clear waters and sparkling white beaches. You can find this in the Mourtos and Sivota Islands, south of Corfu, where we sail and stop to marvel at some of the island best natural highlights. This includes the striking Papanikolis Cave and the famed Blue Lagoon Bay, where you can swim in the iridescent blue waters. In the evening, stroll the traditional Marina village and take your pick of Greek eats from the idyllic tavern-lined promenade, where you can watch the sunset.
Vacation Day 3: Parga
Nestled on the Ionian coastline of the Greece Mainland, Parga has been described as one of the region’s most beautiful villages. This is because of its two crystal clear bays that line either side of its main town and the iconic Venetian fortress that forms an impressive backdrop. Known for its stunning natural environment that gives it an island feel, there are plenty of beachside hangouts and watersports to enjoy the coastline views, especially in the large bay west of Parga town. We will have lunch onboard, but stay in town for an evening of Greek feasting and hospitality.
Note: If the vessel manages to dock in the port, you will not need to use a water taxi. However, if you need one, the cost of the Water Taxi is not included in the overall price package.
Vacation Day 4: Antipaxos
Not many people know of Antipaxos, overshadowed by the main island of Paxos, but you will be glad you got to experience this lesser-known beauty spot. First, we fuel up with a lunch before stopping for some coastal relaxation time at some of the islands secluded, tranquil bays that are home to the beaches of Voutoumi and Vrika. Go snorkelling in the turquoise waters, feel the pebbles under your feet, take a walk amongst the clifftop surroundings and visit one of the three main towns – Gaios, Loggos and Lakka. We will dine at a pop-up beach tavern in a secluded bay tucked away from the crowds, and later watch the stars from the deck of the yacht.
Vacation Day 5: Gaios-Paxos
With white pebble beaches, striking blue seas and lush green countryside, Paxos is one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. We will dock at the port of Gaios ready for a full day on the island. You can easily explore with a motorcycle, although it’s also easy by foot, bike or car too. Spend the day seeking out the secluded coves and bays for swimming, enjoy the Venetian architecture of Gaios town or sample the world-renowned olive oil from the surrounding groves. Watch the fisherman go about their work from one of the seafront cafes, before enjoying some of the best and freshest seafood at one of the excellent local tavernas that stock the best catch of the day.
Vacation Day 6: Lakka-Paxos
Dotted with secluded bays and sea caves, with shallow waters for those keen to explore the underworld of the Ionian Sea, this part of Paxos Island is an explorer’s dream. Enjoy lunch on the vessel while we sail towards bustling Lakka, the second largest village on the island set in a horseshoe bay to a backdrop of olive and cypresses trees. Visit the pebbled Kanoni beach and sandy Harami beach and wander amongst nature. Later, stroll the vibrant promenade along the seafront. Full of bars and tavernas Lakka is the epitome of old school Greek charm. We will dock overnight at a picturesque bay here.

Vacation Day 7: Corfu
Before we head back to the mainland of Corfu Island, with free time to explore, we take the chance to fit in one more of Corfu’s long sandy beaches. We visit the beautiful Benitses Beach and village on the east coast of the island, enjoying an onboard lunch on the way for some final sweeping sea views. We spend the night in the Marina of Corfu Old Town, where we enjoy an optional traditional dinner with the group in our final farewell party.
Vacation Day 8: Departure
As we come back in full circle to Corfu, this is our departure day, where you’ll say goodbye to your new friends and your crew. Hopefully, we have inspired you with this Greece sailing trip and hope to see you next year for more sailing around the Greek islands.
Vacation Day 1: Arrive San Diego, California 
After breakfast we will take the Old Time Trolley over to the Old Town Historic Park, stopping at Coronado Island to visit the famous hotel on the way. 
Back on the Trolley enjoy the scenic coastal landscape while we make our way to Old Town” As we ride our conductor will tell us fascinating stories and historical trivia of San Diego.
hotel, now the reconstructed building is the Wells Fargo Museum that displays exhibits related to mining, banking and stagecoach travel. The park contains several historic adobe structures built circa 1830 including the Casa de Estudillo, one of the oldest mansions in California. The Mormon Battalion helped construct the First Brick Courthouse, it served as town hall, the mayor’s office and a schoolhouse. The historic district not only features heritage architecture but there are also shops and restaurants offering authentic handicrafts and cuisine.
Before we leave the area, we'll walk over to Heritage Park, to see examples of San Diego's historic Victorian architecture. The properties were all relocated from their original locations. Visit an 1880s working-class people's cottage without the amenities of gas, electricity, water, or sewer and San Diego’s first synagogue, which reflects the church styles of the late 1800s.
Today we spend the day on or near the water of the San Diego Bay, one of the best destinations to whale watch. This morning we embark on a whale-watching cruise along the California Coast, where we will likely see seals, seabirds, sea lions, and dolphins. While cruising listen to interesting facts about the whales, their migratory patterns, their ocean habitat, and other ocean species. Keep your eyes peeled for the grey whales, we might catch a glimpse of them or if we are real lucky, jumping up and making a big splash. Gray Whales migrate winter to spring from feeding grounds in Alaskan waters to calving lagoons in Baja California.
This afternoon we take a trip through American naval history at the USS Midway Museum. This enormous ship, known as the longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, now offers a range of interactive exhibits, a self-guided audio tour and numerous restored aircraft across its 4-acre flight deck and sections below. This marvel of engineering once housed more than 4,500 crew members across its various decks, and served in the US Navy between 1945 and 1992. Enjoy the audio tour, told through the stories of the ship’s former officers and sailors, visit some of the 65 highlighted locations throughout the vessel, covering its bridge to its engine 
room and explore the ship’s restored living quarters, including the galleys, sleeping quarters and officer’s country. There’s also 25 restored aircraft lining its deck and a range of interactive exhibits.
Today is all about animals and nature at the Balboa Park, home to more than 16 museums, performing arts venues, lovely gardens, trails plus the San Diego Zoo.. After breakfast it's our opportunity to ride the local bus 5 stops from the San Diego Depot into the heart of Balboa Park.

We start with the 35-minute Guided Bus Tour that wil give us an overview of the Zoo and acquaint us with the various areas we would like to spend more time at. The Zoo's unique animal habitats include Elephant Odyssey, the Australian Outback, Monkey Trails, and Polar Bear Plunge. The zoo is famous for its breeding colony of koalas, the largest one outside of Australia. The koalas thrive mainly because their sole food, eucalyptus, grows abundantly on the zoo grounds. The zoo also maintains successful breeding groups of gorillas, tigers, giraffes, hippopotamuses, pygmy chimpanzees, Galapagos tortoises, and a wide variety of other animals. Its many notable exhibits include 
walk-through tropical rainforests, aviaries, a polar bear habitat with a chilled pool, an Asian river environment featuring tigers, and gorillas and Malayan sun bears in simulated natural habitats.
Start off with an old favorite, the Balboa Park Carousel. Did you know this is one of a handful of carousels in the U.S. that includes the traditional brass ring game? Take a ride and try your skill by reaching out to grab the ring! The Balboa Park Visitors Center, located in the House of Hospitality in the Plaza de Panama can give you the most updated information on what’s happening at all the attractions in the park. The Spanish Village isn’t an art museum, but where you’ll find artists creating art that you can buy. Every object for sale here has been created by the local artists you’ll meet working in their studios. The Botanical Building, Timken & Gem Society museums are free to enter plus 16 out of the 17 gardens are all free to enter.
Your Singles Weekend begins when you land at the Durango Airport (DRO) and make your way to the group's hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Durango, located in the heart of downtown. Check-in to your Room and relax or take a walk around downtown. Durango’s Main Street is exactly what you would expect to see in an old western mining town. In fact it is listed on the National Register of Historic Districts. About 35 miles from Durango is the Mesa Verde National Park. Today we will spend the day exploring the National Park that was established in 1906 to preserve and interpret the archaeological heritage of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from 600 to 1300 CE. Today, the park protects nearly 5,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. Sometime during the late 1190s, after primarily living on the mesa top for 600 years, many Ancestral Puebloans began living in pueblos they built beneath the overhanging cliffs. The structures ranged in size from one-room storage units to villages of more than 150 rooms.
Our first stop is at the Mesa Verde National Park Visitor and Research Center for an orientation of the park and to view native artifacts. As we depart the Center, we will see archaeological sites along the Mesa Top Loop Road, a 6-mile drive that can be described as a tour through time. Along the road, you’ll find short, easily-accessible paved trails to view twelve archeological sites, including surface sites, pit houses, pueblos and overlooks of kiva-type cliff dwellings—the ancient homes and villages of the Ancestral Pueblo people who lived here for more than 700 years. Our guide will point out some of the most notable and best-preserved cliff dwelling ruins, including Far View community, Spruce Tree House, Cedar Tree Tower and Balcony House. We will stop at the overlook of the famous Cliff Palace, the largest and most famous cliff dwelling with over 150 individual rooms and more than 20 kivas (rooms for religious rituals). Along the way we will stop to enjoy our provided lunch while appreciating the beauty of the landscape that was home to generations of Ancestral Pueblo people. Tonight enjoy our farewell dinner at a local Wild West Restaurant.

Vacation Day 3: St Patick's Day Celebration ( Monday, March 17, 2025 )
Patrick’s Day. For more than 196 years, the parade has racted thousands of guests to join in the city-wide celebration, by cheering for all the floats, bands, dancers, Irish groups and societies marching in the parade. Those marching include nationally and internationally renowned bands, divisions of the U.S. military, and the Budweiser Clydesdales.
After the parade we will walk over to River Street and City Market, the two main hubs for all the St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans. Spend the afternoon and early evening in these two places that will be jamming. Not only will there be live entertainment and activities to partake in, but there will also be interactive artists, photo booths and food and beverage areas.
Do you ever get spooked? You can be sure you’ll have a night of frights when we hop on the Ghost & Gravestones trolley. Our journey will take us throughout Savannah’s historic district, focusing on some of its most haunted sites, eerie legends and frightening residents. They bring the DEAD to life as this is one of America’s most haunted cities. And these aren’t the doe-eyed friendly ghost types, we’re talking folks who were tortured and murdered and have hundreds of years of pent-up anger just waiting to come out. 
After breakfast we will stroll the historic district and visit a few of the historical homes starting with the birthplace of the Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low's house. During our visit, a friendly and knowledgeable guide will lead us through the home, where we will learn the story of “Daisy”—Juliette Gordon Low’s nickname—and Girl Scouts. Original and period furnishings adorn seven spacious rooms with high ceilings. See unique architectural features, including elaborately carved millwork, decorative plaster ceilings, and the impressive staircase with its curved mahogany rail. Numerous works of art, including many pieces created by Daisy herself, are on display throughout the house. You may browse the garden and courtyard independently after our tour. Be 
sure to look for the monogrammed gates that are believed to be forged in part by Daisy herself.

After dinner, one of the riverboat entertainers will play the hits from the 50s to today. Le Havre is a major port in northern France's Normandy region, where the Seine River meets the English Channel. It's joined to the city across the estuary, Honfleur, by the Pont de Normandie cable-stayed bridge. Following WWII, Le Havre's heavily damaged city center was famously redesigned by Belgian architect Auguste Perret. Today it features many landmark examples of reinforced-concrete architecture.
Bruges is an ancient city located in the northern part of Belgium, about 62 miles from Brussels. The city was once a main port of Belgium welcomed artists and nobles from Europe during the 15th century and is distinguished by canals, cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Its port, Zeebrugge, is an important center for fishing and European trade. In the city center’s Burg square, the 14th-century Stadhuis (City Hall) has an ornate carved ceiling. Nearby, Market square features a 13th-century belfry with a 47-bell carillon and a 272 foot tower with panoramic views.

Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city's central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church.

Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of the Oslofjord. It’s known for its green spaces and museums. Many of these are on the Bygdøy Peninsula, including the waterside Norwegian Maritime Museum and the Viking Ship Museum, with Viking ships from the 9th century. The Holmenkollbakken is a ski-jumping hill with panoramic views of the fjord. It also has a ski museum
Next we travel to see some of the world's greatest Viking treasures on the Bygdøy peninsula. Located in the Viking Ship Museum we will see 3 of the world's best-preserved Viking ships up close. The Gokstad, Tune and Oseberg were sea-going ships before they were towed ashore and used in funeral rituals for their wealthy owners around the Oslo Fjord. In the tombs, archaeologists found some of the richest grave finds of the Viking Age. At the Viking Ship Museum we will see the ships and skeletal remains, beautiful wooden carvings and objects that shed light on the Vikings' fascinating world.
Gothenburg, a major city in Sweden, is situated off the Göta älv river on the country's west coast. An important seaport, it's known for its Dutch-style canals and leafy boulevards like the Avenyn, the city's main thoroughfare, lined with many cafes and shops. Liseberg is a popular amusement park with themed rides, performance venues and a landscaped sculpture garden.

It's been more than two decades since the walls came down and Berlin became unified in many ways, including the pursuit of joy. Add to that an incredible array of sights that reflect not only the city's new-found swagger but also its great history. Germany's capital city is a city that balances cosmopolitan chic with a liberal undercurrent of creativity and cool. Famous landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag fascinate and the elegant Bavarian Quarter amazes.
Included Shore Excursion: Schwerin and its Fairy-tale Castle - Depart Warnemünde by coach and travel directly to the fairy-tale city of Schwerin. Upon arrival, we’ll be taken on a guided walk of the Old Town. Our walk will cover the main highlights, such as the historical buildings, the Mecklenburg State Theatre, medieval Schwerin Cathedral, and the imposing Romanesque-Gothic red-brick building. We’ll also get to see the magnificent Schwerin Castle, a historic castle located on a picturesque island, considered the capital’s most famous building.
Kiel is a port city on Germany’s Baltic Sea coast. In the old town, the rebuilt, medieval St. Nikolai Church hosts classical concerts. Holstenstrasse and Dänische Strasse are streets lined with shops. Along the Kiel Fjord, the Maritime Museum displays model ships and nautical instruments in a former fish auction hall. Cruise ships dock at the Ostseekai Terminal in Germania Harbor.
The Molfsee Open-Air Museum is a landscape of fields, gardens and ponds that stretches across 98 acres and is dotted with dozens of historic houses, farms and mills from the 16th to 19th centuries. The buildings are decked out with authentic furniture and appliances. Basket weavers, smiths, turners, woodworkers and beekeepers demonstrate their activities in various buildings, and farms still house the types of animals that would have been around at the time. At the historic pharmacy and adjacent herb garden visitors gain insight into the medicinal practices of the time. 
Vacation Day 1: Dubai, United Arab Emirates 
After breakfast we will be accompanied by our local guide for a fabulous morning discovering Dubai’s Old Town, home to traditional markets, authentic meals and cultural experiences. A ride on a wooden Abra boat across scenic Dubai Creek takes us to the historical quarter of Al Bastakiya, dating back to the 19th century and is the oldest residential quarter in Dubai. We will tour around the maze-like streets to admire the original architecture of this neighborhood established by merchants. The buildings are completed with wind towers that illustrate an era before air conditioning. Explore the 225-year old Fort Al Fahidi which houses the Dubai Museum including rare authentic monuments, antique pottery, weapons, local boat models and bamboo houses with traditional furniture.

Today we tour Modern Dubai from the top of the Burj Khalifa to the Dubai Marina, an awe-inspiring city-within-a city. Upscale yachts cruise through the large man-made marina, where activities range from jet-skiing to skydiving.
Don't worry night owls, the fun doesn't stop at sundown. Once evening arrives, pyrotechnics displays and concerts are among the entertainment to keep us enthralled into the early hours.
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the U.A.E. Abu Dhabi translated in Arabic implies father of the gazelle a tribute to the hordes of gazelles and Arabian oryxes that once flocked the arid emirates desert. Today Abu Dhabi is among the world largest producers of oil and one of the richest cities in the Middle East and a one hour drive from Dubai
Our tour continues into the heart of the city, Union Square before we drive down the Corniche. Located in Al Shindagha near Dubai Creek is the Heritage and Diving Village which gives us a fascinating insight into Dubai's pearl diving past and wider history. The coin and stamp collections reveal much of the country's past and the Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House is a lesson in traditional architecture.
After six busy days and nights, take time to relax this morning. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and relax at the hotel's outdoor pool or take a leisurely walk to the Mall.

San Felipe de Puerto Plata is the capital of the Puerto Plata province on the Dominican Republic’s Atlantic north coast. The city is best known for its beaches. Playa Dorada’s lengthy beachfront is backed by resorts and an 18-hole golf course. The city’s old colonial-era center is dominated by the 16th-century Fortaleza San Felipe, a Spanish fortress that now houses historical and military artifacts.
St. Thomas is the gateway isle of the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. It's known for its beaches and snorkeling spots. Territorial capital Charlotte Amalie, founded by the Danish in the 1600s, is a busy cruise-ship port. Historic buildings include a 1679 watchtower called Blackbeard’s Castle, in reference to the area’s pirate history. On the harbor, 17th-century Fort Christian is now a local-history museum.

Oranjestad is the capital of the Dutch island of Aruba, in the Caribbean Sea. Near the marina, the 18th-century Fort Zoutman and the Willem III Tower, formerly a lighthouse, house the Historical Museum, which chronicles the island’s past. The Archaeological Museum displays indigenous artifacts dating back as far as 2500 B.C. Along the waterfront, L.G. Smith Boulevard is dotted with boutiques and shopping malls.
Casibari rock formations, Bushiribana gold mill ruins, Aloe Vera factory and the Typical Aruban house. There will also be a photo opportunity at the world famous "Fofoti" tree.
Willemstad is the capital city of Curacao, a Dutch Caribbean island. It’s known for its old town center, with pastel-colored colonial architecture. The floating Queen Emma Bridge connects the Punda and Otrobanda neighborhoods across Saint Anna Bay. By the water is the 19th-century Rif Fort, now housing a shopping center. City restaurants serve dishes influenced by the island's mostly Dutch and Afro-Caribbean cuisines.
Stop at Flamingo Park to see and learn about the brightly colored birds that live there. Then we make our way to Hato Caves for a guided tour. Walk the Indian Trail at the caves, and see carvings done by the Caiquetio Indians more than 1,500 years ago.
