Vacation Day 1 - Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia has a modern skyline dominated by the 1479 foot tall Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of glass-and-steel-clad skyscrapers with Islamic motifs. On arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Grand Millenial Hotel. To give everyone a chance to arrive, no activities are planned today. For those who have arrived early, we will meet for an optional dinner at 7:00pm.
Vacation Day 2 - Kuala LumpurThis afternoon is our Kula Lumpur city tour. We will drive through the lake gardens; with stops at the National Mosque and Independence Square. From there, we will take a short walk to Central Market passing the convergence of the Gombak and Klang river – at Masjid Jamek, one of the first buildings to be erected in Kuala Lumpur. Stroll through Chinatown, then board our bus to Kampung Baru, a typical Malay area where most houses are still built in traditional Malay architecture. Our journey continues toward Petronas Twin Towers, for a great photo shoot of the world’s tallest twin towers.
Located approximately 7 miles to the north of Kuala Lumpur is the site of an important Hindu temple and shrine. The Batu Caves is a 100-year-old temple which features idols and statues erected inside the main caves and around it. Incorporated with interior limestone formations said to be around 400 million years old. Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to view the stunning skyline. Monkeys frolic around the caves, and paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods can be seen in the Ramayana Cave.
Uncover the secrets of pewtersmithing at the Royal Selangor Pewter factory where pewter products are skilfully hand-manufactured and indulge in the vast range of quality pewter-ware, or fine jewelry.
Then we stop at Melawati Hill to see the Silver-Leafed Monkeys and long-tailed macaques. The main difference between the silver-leafed babies as compared to the adults is that these babies have golden fur while the adults have dull grey colors. Explore the Dutch fortress atop Melawati Hill and enjoy the panoramic view of the estuary of Selangor River and fishing village.
Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner served at a local restaurant followed by a fireflies watching. Embark on a small wooden boat, and cruise along the river at the night to capture the beauty of this natural wonder.
Vacation Day 3 - Kuala Lumpur - Pulau Ketam (Crab Island)Catch a glimpse of Glenn Port and the Cruise Terminal on nearby Pulau Indah as we depart Port Klang for our 30 minute ferry ride to Crab Island. Our ferry will take us through the rivers which dissect the swampy Mangrove Island of Pulau Klang and with within no time we will find ourselves at Pulau Ketam. Upon arrival, we will take a leisurely stroll to see an entire village where even the roads are built on stilts. Soak in the atmosphere before we head off to eat lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch we will be have the opportunity to explore the village by bicycle or stroll around at your own pace. Ride around the village at your own speed but inexperienced cyclists should be careful on the narrow paths. After our exploration is complete we will return on the ferry.
Before returning to our hotel we will drive up to see the fabulous palace of the Selangor Sultan, one of the royal residences.
Vacation Day 4 - Kuala Lumpur - Penang
After breakfast we check-out of our hotel and depart Kuala Lumpur for Penang. On our way we will stop at Bukit Merah, the only Orangutan Research Facility in the Peninsular Malaysia. A short boat ride will take us to the Orang Utan Island, a 35-acre island nestled within the idyllic setting of Bukit Merah Laketown Resort.
Since its inception in 2000, Orang Utan Island has progressed from being a sanctuary, where visitors experienced first-hand awareness and education on the orangutan, to a recognized ex-situ conservation facility and referral center for the endangered Bornean orangutan.
Journey into the wild… The moment we step onto the lake cruiser, you know we are headed for adventure. As the cruiser cuts through the water, Orang Utan Island beckons closer, now, no more a mystery in the distance. As we alight onto the jetty, keep a look out high among the trees, you may spot an orangutan or two, swinging from tree to tree, maybe even taking a nap. Our steps on the boardwalk take us through a classroom of education in the life of an orangutan, where we will learn amazing facts about this intelligent primate.
The orangutan, or ‘man (orang) of the forest (hutan)’ in the local Bahasa Malaysia language, exhibits truly human-like mannerism in many facets of its behavior.A walk through the semi-circle steel-fence tunnel enclosure is a humbling experience, where we humans, seemingly in a cage, can peer out and be captivated by the orangutans roaming free beyond in the trees, on the grass, by the bushes, by the lake, just about anywhere.
Stroll by the Herbal Garden for an education on the plants of Malaysia, pop by the Education Zones for an expert briefing on the orangutan, stop by the Researcher’s Corner for a closer observation of the island’s star attractions...take your time, never rush the knowledge.
After our amazing orangutan experience we proceed to the royal town of Kuala Kangsar to visit the Ubudiah Mosque, see from far the old Sultan’s Residence. Then we proceed to Penang to check in into hotel.
Vacation Day 5 - Penang
This morning we explore Penang Island by The Beca, known locally as Trishaw or Jinricksha, an open three wheel vehicle. These eco-friendly bicycle rickshaws are fast becoming popular with both tourists and locals. It is the most practical and enjoyable way to explore Penang’s charming tourist spots. It ferries you through narrow lanes, offering closer view of the sites at a more leisurely pace and stopping virtually anywhere to allow you to take pictures of interesting sights. Batik is a wax-resist dying technique used on textile and famous on the east coast of Malaysia. All Malaysia batik is handmade from scratching, waxing by jhunting, and coloring using die. Witness artists drawing, coloring and stamping batik patterns on fabrics. It is quite a sight to see, with each artist specializing in a particular product, from sarongs to shirts: an artist can produce about 32 feet of fabric a day. Not only we will we view the technique, we will actually experience the making of our own handmade Batik souvenir.
Vacation Day 6 - Penang - Sandakan
After breakfast, we check-out of our hotel and transfer to Penang Airport for our one hour flight to Sandakan. Sandakan is a city in the Malaysian state of Sabah, on the northeast coast of Borneo.On arrival at Sandakan town, check-in to our hotel and enjoy free time for lunch.
This afternoon we will drive about an hour to visit the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, a unique facility that provides us a rare opportunity to check out the endangered and extremely odd-looking proboscis monkey. These monkeys are found only on Borneo and are recognizable by its potbelly and distinctive long, bulbous nose. Deforestation has made the proboscis an endangered species and they can't be moved because of their their specialized diet.
Vacation Day 7 - Sandakan - AbaiThis morning we check-out and depart Sandakan. Our first stop, the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center aim is to return orphaned, injured or displaced orangutans back to the wild. Upon arrival we proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform to witness the feeding of Orangutans. Take a quick view of the nursery area where the younger Orangutans first learn to be outside and play on a large climbing frame. Experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo before we depart Sepilok.
Then our wonderful journey of discovery starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. Our boat cruise will take us to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where we will enjoy lunch at the Abai Jungle Restaurant. After Lunch we'll take a leisurely stroll on the nature boardwalk, make sure to bring along your binoculars. Look out for any moving trees, you might have the chance to spot the wild orangutan, Silver leaf monkeys, birds and other wildlife.
Later in the afternoon we'll cruise to search for wildlife until the sun sets then witness the fire flies as night falls. After dinner at our lodge, experience the “Jungle at Night” on a guided nature walk along the boardwalk to search for birds, snakes, insects and other wildlife.
Vacation Day 8 - - Abai – Sukau, Bilit Adventure Lodge (B,D)
Wake up by the calls of nature. Early this morning we will take a river trip to observe the wildlife. After breakfast, cruise up river to reach Bilit Adventure Lodge. Arrive at Bilit for lunch. Then, you are invited to join our tree planting project with the locals. This project is specially designed to help the locals. 1530hrs, tea break with local snacks. By 1600hrs, we will be river cruising in search of primates especially the wild orangutan, birds, pygmy elephant and other wildlife.

Vacation Day 9 - Sukau, Bilit - Sandakan - Kuala Lumpur (B,D)
0600 hrs, morning cruise. After breakfast, freshen up. Check-out 0830hrs. Time to depart Bilit Adventure Lodge, return to Sandakan by driving overland. Drop off Sandakan Airport for our flight to Kuala Lumpur. Delight in modern authentic Malaysian and International cuisine as we enjoy our farewell dinner at the Atmosphere 360. Vacation Day 1: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
After breakfast we will be accompanied by our local guide for a fabulous morning discovering Dubai’s Old Town, home to traditional markets, authentic meals and cultural experiences. A ride on a wooden Abra boat across scenic Dubai Creek takes us to the historical quarter of Al Bastakiya, dating back to the 19th century and is the oldest residential quarter in Dubai. We will tour around the maze-like streets to admire the original architecture of this neighborhood established by merchants. The buildings are completed with wind towers that illustrate an era before air conditioning. Explore the 225-year old Fort Al Fahidi which houses the Dubai Museum including rare authentic monuments, antique pottery, weapons, local boat models and bamboo houses with traditional furniture.

Our tour continues into the heart of the city, Union Square before we drive down the Corniche. Located in Al Shindagha near Dubai Creek is the Heritage and Diving Village which gives us a fascinating insight into Dubai's pearl diving past and wider history. The coin and stamp collections reveal much of the country's past and the Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House is a lesson in traditional architecture.

Stand at a dizzying 300 meters above the sprawling hyper-modern metropolis, and admire the stunning panoramic sweeps of urban jungle, untouched desert dunes, and the azure waters of the Persian Gulf. Indulge in the Light Snack, which includes a mouthwatering piece of cake (selected daily) and your choice of coffee or tea – the perfect pick-me-up to fuel your day!
Breakfast and free morning at leisure before boarding our yacht at 1pm. Admire widescreen views of Dubai’s skyline from the water onboard our private yacht charter from Dubai Marina. Settle aboard a gleaming yacht with sunbathing and seating decks, and absorb the landmarks as you glide over the Persian Gulf, snapping photos of the Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, and other sights. Check into our Floating Jungle Rafts, the magnificent close-to-nature floating lodge, no electricity, no wifi, no hot water, but such an amazing location. Enjoy the nature surroundings of the tropical forest, a unique blend of the culture and tradition of Mon people, and the history of World War II. Take a ‘River Jump’. Put on a life jacket and then jump into the river. You will be floating along the hotel in the Kwai river. Vacation Day 7: Phuket - James Bond Islands Speed-Boat Tour
(Leaning Rock), better known as ‘James Bond Island’. Get your camera ready as we spot the famous Ko Tapu, the 66-foot limestone rock that was featured in ‘The Man With the Golden Gun’.
Kata Noi Beach is often touted "most beautiful beach on the island!" and Katathani hotel commands an entire 1/2 mile of crystal clear waters in stunning Kata Noi Beach. The sand is of the highest quality in the world - soft, golden and fine and Kata Noi Beach enjoys a daily viewing of the orange sun as it sets into the clear blue sea. To preserve the pristine setting in nature, the beachfront resort of Phuket supports daily beach cleaning conducted by our staff. Diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking, surfing (Kata beach is the best), jet-ski, parasailing, windsurfing and stand up paddle board can all be arranged at the hotel.
Take the hotel shuttle (about $5) to Phuket Town in the afternoon. The ride is about 1/2 hour each way but definitely worth it. In the Old Town, Thalang Road is lined with colorful 19th-century shophouses and Sino-Portuguese buildings. Built in 1903 by a wealthy tin merchant, Baan Chinpracha mansion has Italian floor tiles, shuttered windows and antique furniture. Set in a 1930s manor, the Thai Hua Museum has exhibits on Phuket’s culture and history.
Elephants are a national symbol in Thailand and their importance as working animals and in warfare is part of the country's history. However, since logging was banned in 1989 the only demand for these domesticated elephants has been in the tourism industry. Today there are a couple of hundred elephants living on Phuket working in tourism. Although it would be much better if elephants were able to roam wild this is simply not possible in modern Thailand. It costs approximately US$500 per month to feed and care for an elephant in captivity. Elephant trekking is a memorable experience and helps keep these animals employed, fed and out of the cities.
On our elephant trekking and bathing tour, we will get the chance to get even closer to the elephants and we all can give them a good ol'back rub with brushes and water. We get to spend time playing in the water together with them. You can see the elephants splash everybody with water spurting out from their trunks whilst also letting people climb aboard their backs.

Not into shopping then go on safari, visit a bird park, paddle a kayak, spend the day at Sentosa, the choices are endless...
What a great way to start the new year, let's catch up on what’s been happening over the past 400 million years by visiting the Hong Kong Museum of History. Walk through prehistoric Hong Kong, explore the different Dynasties and learn about the Opium Wars, the Cession, the Japanese Occupation and the return of China. See replicas of village dwellings; traditional Chinese costumes and beds; a re-creation of an entire 1881 street, including an old Chinese medicine shop; a tram from 1913; and film footage of WWII, including
recent interviews.
Our day starts as we travel to the Chi Lin Nunnery, a large temple complex of elegant wooden architecture, treasured Buddhist relics and soul-soothing lotus ponds and the Nan Lian Garden, designed in the Tang Dynasty-style with hills, water features, trees, rocks and wooden structures.

The most well known temple in Taiwan, the Mengjia Longshan Temple was built in 1738 by settlers from Fujian as a gathering place for Chinese settlers. Located in the old village part of Taipei, Wanhua District, this temple has stood the test of time and lasted through several natural disasters and wars.
Today we spend the day in Ho Chi Minh, previously known as Saigon. Our guided tour takes us past the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on the way to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office.
Let's try Pho (rice noodle soup) and eat lunch at Pho 2000. Maybe we can even sit at the same time President Clinton ate at. After lunch, we are head to the Cu Chi Tunnels, consisting of more than 200km of underground tunnels. The main tunnels have many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. 
Vacation Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Da Nang - Hoi An
Today is a day at leisure. Explore the ancient city of Hoi An... visit the many historical sites, museums or shops. Travelers from all over the world come to Hoi An to have clothes, boots and shoes custom made. It is amazing everything is made, fitted and completed in one day! Need a break from city life then spend the day at the beach, it is very close by. just tale a tuk-tuk.
Vacation Day 7: Hue - Hanoi
Today we continue exploring Hanoi. Visit Ho Chi Min's Mausoleum and his living quarter. Despite Ho Chi Min's request to be cremated, like communist leaders before him, he was embalmed and put on display. A visit to his mausoleum is a somber experience. Next we visit The Hanoi Hilton (The Hoax Lo Prison) used by the North Vietnamese Army to house, torture and interrogate captured servicemen, mostly American pilots shot down during bombing raids. Today it is a museum.
In the morning we travel to Ha Long Bay, a world natural heritage site. On the way we stop at the Hong Ngoc handicraft village for shopping. Then we continue on to Halong port where our Crew welcomes us onto the Junk.
Enjoy the beauty of a Halong Bay sunrise and a morning view of the Bay's landscapes with a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast is served while we begin cruising the bay to visit Man's head Island, Tortoise Island and the Luzon Cave. Contine on our cruise through Bain Tug Long Bay passing Toad Island and Bain Thor mountain.
On arrival at the airport, you are met by our guide and transferred to the hotel. Angkor Wat, built during the early years of the 12th century by Suryavaram IIm is considered the biggest Asian pyramid. Angkor Wat honors the Hindu god Vishnu and is a symbolic representation of Hindu cosmology. This temple is the largest and most breathtaking temple of the whole complex and is 213 feet high and divided in several layers. The central part has four towers in the shape of a lotus flower and the most famous decorations of Angkor are the more than 300 heavenly nymphs (Apsara).
Angkor Thom (Khmer: "Great City"), established in the late 12th century, was the last capital city. We enter the South Gate of this walled and moated royal city recaptured from the Cham invaders in 1181. The building of Angkor Thom began with existing structures such as Baphuon and Phimeanakas, then a grand enclosed city was built around them, adding the outer wall/moat and some of Angkor's greatest temples including the state-temple, Bayon, set at the center of the city. There are five gates to the city each crowned with 4 giant faces. Visit the Jungle Temple (Ta Prohm) where famous movies have been filmed. This morning, we will take a boat ride on Tonle Sap lake through Chong Khneas. See ordinary Cambodians going about their daily life in the floating village. Fishermen, boat-makers, markets, schools, spirit houses and waving children are always in plentiful supply on this mesmerizing scenic trip.
Today we spend our time seeing Phnom Penh with the Royal Palace, a complex of buildings which has served as the royal residence of the kings of Cambodia since it was built in 1866. The Silver Pagoda, located in the palace complex features a royal temple and houses many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues.
Arrive in the capital of India, New Delhi and after clearing immigration and customs you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Note: normal check-in time is 2.00 pm.
Then drive by the Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal power. In the morning we travel south 3 1/2 hours to Agra along the Yamuna Expressway. The earliest reference to Agra is in the epic The Mahabharat. Ptolemy, Alexander the Great's geographer, also called it Agra. It was, however, in the medieval period that Agra earned prominence as a capital city under the Mughals. Its many wonderful monuments include the Taj Mahal, the greatest of them all. In the Afternoon visit the Taj Mahal with a guide. The Taj Mahal is simply beautiful—not just in design and technique but also in desire and intent. It was built as a monument to love, a manifestation of life's most powerful emotion. When his wife died unexpectedly, Emperor Shahjahan vowed to honor her with a memorial of unmatched beauty. He commissioned the world's best craftsmen and 20,000 workers to build this beautiful structure. The result is a delicately carved, white marble jewel that seems to float on a sea of red limestone. The Taj Mahal is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Persian, Turkish, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also, visit the Agra fort. Near the gardens of the Taj Mahal stands the important 16th-century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers, which comprises many fairy-tale palaces (Jehangir Mahal and Khas Mahal),, halls of public and private, an audience (Diwan-i-Khas and Diwan-i-Aam)) ; and two lovely mosques
Early in the morning we travel west about 1 1/2 hours to Fatehpur Sikri, the once-fabled Mogul capital that has taken on a sleeping beauty quality, lying quietly but wonderfully preserved. The Great Mughal Emperor Akbar built Fathepur Sikri (the City of Victory) during the second half of the 16th century as the capital of the Mughal Empire. A large number of masons and stone carvers worked hard on an area that was over two miles long and a mile wide. Using the locally available red sand stone, they created a complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, including one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid.
Aravali and Vindhya ranges meet. The park derives its name from the fort of Ranthanbhor, which sits on a rocky outcrop in the forest. The landscape is dotted with ancient Banyan trees, Dhok and Pipal trees, clusters of mango trees, and crisscrossed with evergreen belts. The terrain is made up of massive rock formations, steep scarps, perennial lakes and streams, and forest that suddenly opens up into large areas of savannah. For a relatively small area, the park has a rich diversity of fauna and flora. The species list includes 300 trees, 50 aquatic plants, 272 birds, 12 reptiles (including the marsh crocodile), amphibians, and 30 mammals. Other than the tiger, for which the park is most famous, other predators found are leopards, striped hyenas, jackals, caracals, and jungle cats. Also seen are sloth bear, sambar deer, chital (spotted) deer, nilgai (blue bull) antelope, wild boar, chinkara (Indian) gazelle, Indian hare, mongoose, common langur, palm civet, palm squirrel, porcupine, and monitor lizard. In the afternoon, take a safari to the park to see wildlife in its natural habitat and to “hunt“ for the elusive tiger. inner.
Very early in the morning, revisit the park for another safari. After breakfast, we will travel south-west for about 5 hours to Bijaipur, with lunch en route. 
Udaipur is an enchanting city. From the lakes in the midst of the sandy terrain to the green forested hills where wildlife still abounds, the surprises are endless. late afternoon, take a short boat ride and proceed to the old city for a walk around the bazaars, shops,shops and havelis (mansions) before arriving at Bagore Haveli for a performance of local dances and music.
In the morning, we will visit the vast and exquisite City Palace of the Maharana, in which amber, jade, and colored glass give the palace a sparkling yet ethereal quality. The City Palace was built concurrently with the establishment of Udaipur city by Maharana Udai Singh II and his successor Maharanas over a period of the next 400 years. The Maharanas lived and administered their kingdom from this palace, thereby making the palace complex an important historic landmark.
Also, we will visit Sahelion-ki-Bari, the garden of the maids of honor, and continue to the Crystal Gallery and the Vintage and Classic Car Museum, which have nearly two dozen of the Maharana's personal collections of exclusive cars. The rest of the day is free for independent activities and overnight at the hotel.

On our day in Pushkar, we will visit the campsites, take a camel ride, walk through the colorful bazaars, and see and participate in the festivities.In the afternoon, we will continue north-east for 3 hours to Jaipur. The rose-pink capital of Rajasthan, aptly called the'pink city’, is surrounded on all sides by rugged hills. The city was founded in 1727 by the astronomer-king, Sawai Jai Singh II, and built according to the Shilpa Shastra, the ancient Hindu treatise on architecture and sculpture. It is a walled city of seven rectangular blocks, with the Maharajah's palace located in the center amidst lovely gardens. In the evening, take an e-rickshaw ride through the old city bazaars and markets. See the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, a major Rajput landmark built in 1799. This five-story building in the old city is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows. The monument was originally conceived to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the city’s daily life and special events in absolute privacy.
In the morning, we will visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory that is equipped with instruments of astonishing size and precision, including a 90-foot-high sundial. Also, we will visit the City Palace, which is the royal residence of the erstwhile King of Jaipur. It houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes, armory from the Mughal and Rajput eras, weaponry, and swords of different shapes and sizes, some with ornamental handles inlaid with enamel, embellished with jewels, and encased in magnificent scabbards. Drive past Moti-Doongri Palace, a privately owned hilltop fort built like a Scottish castle, to Ram Niwas Gardens and the architecturally impressive Albert Hall before returning to the hotel with the afternoon free for independent activities.In the late afternoon, take a walk in the walled city’s bazaars before going to the Birla Temple at dusk for the Aarti ceremony with an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, we proceed to visit Tirta Empul Temple built around the sacred spring at Tampak Siring. For more than a thousand years, Balinese worshipers have been drawn to Tirta Empul Temple whose sacred spring is said to have been created by Indra and to have curative properties. The tradition continues almost unchanged at the temple today. Over 1000 years old, the temple and its two bathing places have been used by the people for good health and prosperity because of the spring water's curative powers. Then we travel to Kintamani Village, a countryside area located in the hills with a beautiful panorama of the active volcano Mt. Batur and the wide Lake of Batur in the valley. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant with an amazing
view over Lake Batur.
A 4-wheel drive adventure to experience the mystical heart and soul of this amazing island, hidden far away from the bustle and the crowd of the world. Travel in a legendary land Rover, on tiny country roads and tracks, through terraces rice fields and untouched rainforest to the real heart of Bali. Exploring the island by Land Rover lets us infiltrate the areas around Mount Batukaru, which is still natural with muddy fields.
Enjoy a free morning to relax at the resort or explore the surroundings. Take a walk to Ubud Monkey Forest which is only 10 minutes our hotel. There are lots of local crafts, arts and clothing shop to check-out, including the local flea market.
An early morning drive to the airport to catch our flight to Labuan Bajo, on the westernmost tip of the Island of Flores. Upon arrival we will transfer to the pier to set sail to the UNESCO world heritage site, Komodo Island. We will be assigned a trekking guide who will take us for a short trek around Komodo National Park looking for Komodo Dragons. There are a few different treks which range in distance from 45 minutes walking, 1 hour walking up to 2 hour trek. At the end of the time with the Komodo Dragons, we return to the boat to enjoy lunch.
Then we travel by boat about 30 minutes along the coast of Komodo Island to Pink Beach. The beach earned its name for the way the sand can appear to have a rosy hue in certain lights. The pink color comes from small flecks of red coral mixed in with the fine white reef sand. With a few trees along the beach for shade, this stretch of coast makes a fine place to relax or enjoy a snorkel or dive in the crystal clear water.
We travel back to Bali today. Sleep late and enjoy breakfast before we transfer to the Labuan Bajo airport for our flight to Denpasar. Upon arrival we will head to our beach resort located in Sanur, a seaside town in the southeast of the island. Its long stretch of beach offers shallow waters. Colorful jukung fishing boats rest on the sand, backed by a paved cycling path. The leafy main street Jalan Danau Tamblingan is lined with art galleries and restaurants.

Heading out of the town we drive though the scenic countryside to Ayuthaya, the ancient capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767 AD. This glamorous city was all but ultimately destroyed by the hands of Burmese, however it is still fascinating to explore the ruined temples. Among these is Wat Phra Sisanphet, an impressive monument that was used as the royal temple by several kings. The following site is Wat Chai whose the constructing patterns are very interesting. We continue to Bang Pa In, which was served as the summer palace for many Thai monarchs. This structure has a captivating collection of marvelous pavilions in a variety of Thai, Chinese, Italian and Victorian architectural styles.
Then relax as we board a short bamboo raft trip along the Mae Taeng River. Next we drive a few miles to a Padong "long neck" tribe village. The women of the tribe wear long brass coils around their neck which actually pushes the collarbone down, giving them the appearance of an extended neck. This tribe has come from Burma as refugees in recent years due to the persecution of the Burmese government. Spend some time in the village before we drive back to Chiang Mai.
After a short flight back to Bangkok, we head to Pattaya, a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches. A quiet fishing village as recently as the 1960s, it’s now lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel, the Amari Garden before visiting the Sanctuary of Truth.

Today we enjoy three interesting islands off the coast of Pattaya. The island of Koh Pai features several undisturbed natural beaches with a variety of coral clusters and ocean habitats for the avid snorkelers.
